Biography

I am a distinguished academic and authority in soil science at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nigeria. I earned B. Agric. (Hons.) in Soil and Environmental Science from the University of Ado-Ekiti, followed by an M.Sc. in Soil Survey and Classification and a Ph.D. in the same field. My professional spans for almost two decades.
My research is a visionary fusion of classical pedology with digital innovation, focusing on quantitative land evaluation, digital soil mapping, and precision agriculture. My work bridges the gap between laboratory research and practical farming, ensuring that soil survey information is accessible and usable by farmers. I have authored over 56 publications in peer-reviewed journals and 19 conference papers. On December 18, 2025, I delivered the 21st Inaugural Lecture of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, titled: "THE STORY OF LAND AND SOIL: A PEDOLOGIST'S PURSUIT OF PRODUCTIVITY."
