The Nigerian Journal of Soil Science (NJSS) is a national journal dedicated to research and development on soil as a natural resource on the earth’s surface, including soil formation, classification, and mapping, as well as physical, chemical, biological, and fertility properties of soils, and their applications to crop production. The journal is published by the Soil Science Society of Nigeria as its flagship publication.
The NJSS was founded in 1968, and is a registered member of the International Union of Soil Science (IUSS). The society is responsible for the publication of the NJSS. Membership of the society is open to all persons (ordinary), institutions, private firms and companies (cooperate) and students interested in Soil Science.
